Winter Beanie: Hudson Bay

I crocheted another winter beanie; this time using Lionbrand Hudson Bay yarn from my latest trip to Charleston

Reminder to self: Always check your pattern!
This was a beanie that I was excited to make for Hudson because the colorway is called “Hudson Bay” 😍

But I also spent a majority of a car ride crocheting the wrong thing and wondering why in the world it didn’t look like the beanie I made before.
So, as a reminder: Check yourself before you wreck yourself. Because it’s painful (and humbling) to pull apart an entire project and start from scratch.

Materials

Hook: 9mm (I used a larger hook because I am a tight crocheter)
Pattern I followed: Jonna Martinez
Pattern Notes: In order to create the “ridge” effect, you work into the back loop only of your stitches. I went wrong initially because I remembered the stitches and stitch counts, but stitched into the entire stitch rather than the back loop only. 🤦‍♀️
